Zika virus scares: Zika found alive in semen after 3 months, plus mosquito borne bug causes microcephaly

Zika, the dreaded mosquito borne virus is running rampant in the United States. Even the Rio 2016 Olympics are impacted by the virulent infection. And there's more bad news -- Zika has a longer life expectancy than previously thought, reported ABC News on July 22. The virus was found alive in the semen of a man in France 93 days after he first reported symptoms. The previous record was 62 days. Since the incubation could be even longer than three months, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are advising infected patients to hold off on having unprotected sex for six months to avoid sexually transmitted cases.  Zika virus found in semen after 3 months: Mosquito borne bug causes microcephaly
