Stomachache Will Not Go Away

I had a stomachache last night that is lingering and will not go away. I've tried all my known remedies--ginger, acidophilus, drinking fluids, Pepcid, Tylenol, later Ibuprofen. I've been eating plenty of fruit and vegetables and fiber.

I've eaten no eggs or nuts or beans--those can all bother me at certain times. I had one small piece of lean steak yesterday (beef will upset my stomach sometimes). But that's out of my system now.  Here's a look at some common remedies for stomachache, plus thoughts on when it might not be common. Stomachache Will Not Go Away

Avoid Egg Substitutes if You Have Albumen Intolerance, Egg Allergy

I always used to get stomach cramps after eating a big farm-style breakfast (eggs, meat, pancakes, etc.). Then in 1983, I connected it to an egg intolerance. I don't call it a full-blown albumei allergy. I don't get the hives or anaphylaxis symptoms. Just raging a stomachache that no pain reliever will touch. It has to work it's way out and that can take hours. Warning Avoid Egg Substitutes if You Have an Albumen Intolerance, Egg Allergy

Alarming Number of Teens Use Opioids Nonmedically

Just more than 1 in 6 high school seniors has used prescription opioids, says a study in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. That 17.6 percent have used opioids for any medical reason is scary enough, but 12.9 percent say they have used opioids nonmedically. It's terrifying to think that kids can access strong mind-altering drugs and use them recreationally. It's worrisome that they would even want to. Sure, kids are curious. But this goes beyond a little alcohol pot experimentation (both of which are bad enough). Opioids affect thinking and development. Even just one use can have disasterous, long-term consequences.  Do I sound paranoid? I am, with good reason. You should be too.
